Restaurant Review: Dampa

I’m just going to say it- Dampa changed my ‘Ew, seafood’ statement into ‘Oh my gosh, this is heaven’.

The Details

The best part about Dampa, apart from the heavenly taste of the food and staff’s joyful attitude, was that it was actually fun to eat what they served; a plastic sheet was spread out on the table and the food was dumped onto it from buckets (hence, the name ‘Dampa’), which we then had to eat with our gloved hands.

This might have seemed strange to a few but I didn’t mind it at all, partly because of my cultural background but also because of my experience with Wing Stop and Buffalo Wild Wings. I’m not even kidding, the rice literally melted in my mouth and the spicy gravy was something I had never tasted before.

The Rating

I’d give a straight up 10/10 for this place and I’ve been craving their seafood bucket so much but thanks to the Corona Virus, I can’t just travel to Dubai to satisfy my taste buds *Rolls eyes*- which I wouldn’t have been able to do otherwise but that’s besides the point.
